Traveler's Diary

 "And so the traveler stays.
Because the still darkness was more comforting than the uncertainties of the wild."

I am a traveler
Walking through the paths of life
Down the lane of memories
And the garden of thoughts
I find myself standing still
Looking at the far beyond

And there I stood
Frozen in time
As I fear the multiple paths of wonder
That awaits my arrival

And then I stared at my little compass
That points to myself
Telling me the choice should be done
By none other than me

Or perhaps.. is it telling me to go back?
To the safety of my comfort zone
And the things I've always known
Because the world is a scary place
That is neverendingly relentless
To those who have yet to find
A label to themselves

And even to those who has it
The world gatekeeps them
To stay within the boundaries
Of their so-called stereotypes

And so the traveler stays
And unpacks her backpack
Sets up the tents
To stay the night
Because the still darkness was more comforting
Than the uncertainties of the wild
